Shown in Geneva in 1961, the E-Type descends from the D-Type that won at Le Mans. A 3.8-litre inline six, disc brakes on all four wheels, independent rear suspension: it offered at a fraction of the price what the Italians were charging for. New York’s MoMA took one into its permanent collection.
