It had everything the 205 GTI had, except the name and the glory. For a long time the 309 GTI was the bargain connoisseurs kept to themselves.
Its story begins at Talbot: drawn at Poissy under the project name Arizona, it was rebadged Peugeot along the way, hence the 309 that breaks with the house naming. Under the bonnet, the 1.9 sixteen-valve with 160 horsepower, and a wheelbase longer than the 205’s that simply makes it more effective on a bad road.
The Overcut sweatshirt pairs 320 gsm fleece with a brushed inner face and a lightly dropped oversize fit. The high-density embroidery, done in France, renders the car’s silhouette precisely and survives the wash. Available in Écru, French Marine and Kaki.
