Fairlady Z in Japan, Datsun 240Z everywhere else: the S30 arrived in 1969 with a 2.4-litre straight-six and independent suspension on all four wheels. It won the Safari Rally in 1971 and in 1973, and the S30 family sold more than five hundred thousand cars.
