It had everything the 205 GTI had, except the name and the glory. For a long time the 309 GTI was the bargain the connoisseurs kept to themselves.
Its story begins at Talbot: drawn at Poissy under the project name Arizona, it was rebadged a Peugeot along the way, hence the 309 that breaks with the company’s own numbering. Under the bonnet, the 1.9 sixteen-valve with 160 horsepower, and a wheelbase longer than the 205’s that simply makes it more effective on a bad road.
The Overcut polo shirt combines breathable cotton piqué with a clean, straight cut. The high-density embroidery, made in France, reproduces the model's silhouette precisely and stands up to washing. Available in French Marine and Écru.
