Fairlady Z in Japan, Datsun 240Z everywhere else: the S30 arrived in 1969 with a 2.4-litre inline six and independent suspension on all four wheels. It won the Safari Rally in 1971 and in 1973, and the S30 family sold more than five hundred thousand units.
