A red H badge, red bucket seats and an engine that only really starts working beyond 6,000 rpm. The Type R has never tried to please everyone.

The first one, the EK9 of 1997, drew 185 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 1.6 litre: a power density very few production engines have come near. Since then the means have changed but not the aim: the turbo arrives in 2015, and every generation goes to settle its accounts against the clock at the Nürburgring.

The Overcut t-shirt pairs 180 gsm recycled cotton with a lightly structured regular fit. The high-density embroidery, done in France, renders the car’s silhouette precisely and survives the wash. Available in Écru, French Marine and Kaki.
