A sketch traced in the sand of a Welsh beach, in 1947. Everything started there.

Maurice Wilks drew the first Land Rover on the beach at Red Wharf Bay. Shown in Amsterdam in 1948, it had an eighty-inch wheelbase and an aluminium alloy body, for want of steel available after the war. It was meant to be no more than a stopgap for Rover: it founded a marque.

Lightly dropped oversize fit. 100% recycled cotton fleece, 320 gsm, brushed inner face. Available in Écru, French Marine and Kaki.
