Shown in Geneva in 1961, the E-Type descends from the Le Mans-winning D-Type. A 3.8-litre straight-six, disc brakes on all four wheels, independent rear suspension: it offered for a fraction of the price what the Italians were charging. New York’s MoMA took one into its permanent collection.
