Chevrolet took two years to answer the Mustang. The answer was called Camaro, and the SS badge marked its least reasonable version.

Launched in 1967, the Camaro introduced with the Super Sport badge a 350 V8 with 295 hp, soon joined by a 396 big-block. Long bonnet, short rear, two token seats behind: the very definition of the pony car. The pointed grille of the 1969 model year made it the most sought-after generation.
