The Overcut story — A grandfather, a 2CV and an obsession

The best brands aren't born from market research. They're born from a conviction — often passed down in silence, by someone who didn't know he was passing anything down. That's how Overcut was born. In a garage. In front of a collection of 2CV figurines.

A garage, a collection, a spark

It all starts long before Overcut. In the garage of a grandfather who collected figurines of the Citroën 2CV — the Deux Chevaux — with the quiet love of those who know what fine machinery is worth. Not to resell them. Not to show off. Just to have them — because a beautiful car, even in miniature, deserves to be looked at.

That gaze, resting on tiny bodywork, planted something. The idea that cars are not mere machines. That they tell stories. That they deserve to be celebrated. That conviction is the true starting point of Overcut.

Overcut: the move that changes everything

In motorsport, the overcut is the strategy of the extra lap. While your rivals head into the pits for fresh tyres, you stay out on track. You push one more lap. You calculate, you feel, you trust your instinct. And when you come out of the pit lane, you're ahead.

It's not a reaction. It's a conviction. It's the strategy of those who see where others aren't looking yet. A name that says everything about the mindset we want to embody: patience, calculation, passion — and the pleasure of being ahead when it counts.

Wear your passion, don't shout it

There are two ways to love cars. The first is to tell everyone — the stickers on the car, the tee with the giant logo, the mug, the official cap. The second is to know it — and let the details speak for you.

Overcut is for the second kind. No logo visible from ten metres away. No hollow slogan. Just a discreet embroidery that says everything to those who know how to look. A sign of recognition between enthusiasts, worn close to the skin.

The people who make Overcut with us

Overcut is a young brand, but it isn't alone. Every piece is embroidered in France by CTCOM, a workshop specialising in high-density embroidery. The visual identity — the logo, the colours, the typography — was designed by Maëlle Cauchard, a graphic designer whose precise work serves the soul of the brand.

Collaborations chosen for their rigour and their alignment with who we want to be. No compromise on substance. No frills on form.

One more lap. One step ahead.

Drop 1 — Porsche 911, Citroën 2CV, Jeep Wrangler — is only the beginning. More cars are coming. More stories to embroider. The collection grows at the pace of the models that deserve to enter the legend.

We stay out on track. We push one more lap. And we come out ahead.
